Oxford

 Whilst walking The Thames path I stayed overnight in Oxford. The next morning before returning to the path I wandered around the city whilst it was free of crowds.
Keats described Oxford as the finest city in the world-it is full of old Gothic buildings, spires, towers, quadrangles, cloisters, groves etc and is surrounded with more clear streams than I ever saw together.

    Wonderful photos, I like Oxford and used to frequent it a lot when I was younger, now I find it is full of tourists & beggars

    I am getting homesick ! I loved Oxford so much ! I stayed in the Belliol college for 3 days in a student's room, just great !
    Tomorrow I am off to the Lake Geneva with two friends ! 800 km to drive, but we do it in two days.

    I have only been in Cambridge, but Oxford looks like a visit worth too. Lovely pictures of the old city buildings.
